1977
Cessna 182 Skylane
Purchased from Dickman Aviation (Cessna Dealer)
Rolla Downtown Airport by present owner Fall of
1977. Aircraft had approximately
300 hours with Dickman using plane to shuttle customers from Rolla to
Kansas City and St. Louis Airport, a contract
he had with a local colleague. Plane has been hangered since
purchase, first at Washington, MO Airport until I built
a hanger at St. Clair, MO. It remained at K39 until
it was moved to
Sullivan, MO December 2011.
Aircraft
has never been used for training, except for my instrument rating and commercial ticket. Has
been used for business
and pleasure; mostly for flights over 500 miles including 3 to the west coast, two
of which crossing the Rockies IFR.
Aircraft has been flown extensively IFR many trips to Central Florida
Ocala for business, (13 round trips in one year)
most nonstop. It has also been flown on many trips to
the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands, also north
east as far as Sydney, Nova Scotia, and to
the west in Canada to the Vancouver area.
The
182 offers a very solid platform for IFR flying. The Century 2000 Auto Pilot shoots ILS and back
slopes. The plane has
been flown in head winds certified at 50 knots and 90 degree crosswinds with
landing
to 30 mph. Verified by FBO at Washington, MO Airport.
